Terms of service
Last updated: June 18, 2026
These terms govern your use of Chalkful. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them.
The service
Chalkful is administrative software for independent tutors: scheduling, a public booking page, invoicing and parent communication. Chalkful is a tool only — any tutoring agreement is solely between the tutor and their clients, and Chalkful is not a party to it.
Accounts
You are responsible for your account and for keeping access to your email secure (we use passwordless login links). You must provide accurate information and be at least 18 years old to run a tutor account.
Your responsibilities
- Use Chalkful lawfully and only for legitimate tutoring administration.
- Only enter data about students and parents where you have the right and any necessary consent to do so.
- You are responsible for your own invoicing accuracy, tax obligations and agreements with your clients.
Plans and payment
Chalkful offers a free trial and a paid Pro subscription. Subscriptions are billed through Stripe and renew until cancelled. You can cancel anytime; access continues until the end of the paid period. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable.
Availability
We work to keep Chalkful available and reliable but provide it "as is" without warranties. We may change or discontinue features.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Chalkful is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for lost data or revenue arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Termination
You may stop using Chalkful and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if these terms are breached.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Germany, where Chalkful is operated, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rules that may apply where you live.
